Arya 2025
£14.50
Fresh, aromatic white with pear, white peach, pineapple and citrus zest. Named after Tom’s daughter. A deceptively complex wine at a brilliant price.
Description
Arya is named after Tom Doran’s daughter — and this wine has exactly the freshness, brightness and joy you’d want to capture in her honour. This elegant white bush vine field blend brings together Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, all grown on the Doran estate in South Africa’s Voor Paardeberg. The result is a wine that punches well above its weight: lively citrus and tropical fruit on the nose, with layers of pear, white peach and lychee on the palate. The Grenache Blanc adds a lovely dried apricot quality, while the Roussanne contributes a beautiful floral, aromatic finish that lingers long after the glass is empty. Food pairing: Perfect with grilled fish, seafood linguine, goat’s cheese on toast, or a light summer salad.
