Travels, Wine & Family – the origin of Doran’s curated premium selection
Edwin Doran is a very lucky man. Not only does he have a brilliant wife, but he’s also got two exceptional children and four brilliant grandchildren. And he’s had an amazing life e.g. for 34 years, where he paid himself to see the world. (But, a downside was that he traveled for 120+ days a year. )
When it came to creating a wine brand, it had to be based on the most important thing in his life – his family.
They became the inspiration behind the range of family wines.

The Real Faces Behind the Names
Family is very important to the Doran Family, and that is why they have decided to name selected wines after different family members.
Rosie D
Rosie married Edwin on June 28th 1980. British Airways employed her as a Concorde stewardess. Mother to Georgia and Tom. Chief wine taster!
Iosa
Tom and Fauzia’s son whose name comes from both Arab and Gaeilge (the Irish language). It means Jesus!! Our customers demanded we should have a wine called after a male.
Arya
Tom and Fauzia’s first daughter who keeps her father on his toes asking him on a daily basis how many bottles of “her” wine has he sold!!
Honor D
Tom and Fauzia’s second child who was unhappy when they was their only child who didn’t have a wine named after them!! We had to change that.
The Romy D
Georgia’s daughter, Romilly, became the first grandchild to have a wine named after her. Apart from the Rosie D, it is only blended wines that are named after the family.
