Description
The Irish have always been exiles. Scattered by history, rooted by choice — carrying the memory of home in everything they do.
Deoraí (pronounced “JOH-ree”) means “the wanderer” in Irish. It is the name for the one who left — and who, in leaving, found a new way to belong.
Our family came from Ireland. Our wine comes from South Africa. Deoraí is the bridge between those two truths.
A 50/50 blend of Shiraz and Merlot, aged for 12 months in Serbian oak. The result is a wine of structure and depth — concentrated fruit, firm tannins, and a finish that stays with you.
Rich, opulent, textured and dense, this blend offers up dark fruits, cedar and fynbos with a moreish smoothness on the palate and ripe tannins on the finish. Best served 16–18°C, decant before serving. Pairs with slow-roasted lamb, aged hard cheese.
This is not an everyday wine. This is a wine for the evenings that stay in the memory. Very limited production.
