Honor D 2024
£14.50
A refined South African Bordeaux blend with dark fruit, warm spice, milk chocolate and silky tannins. Named after Tom’s second child.
Description
Honor D is named after Tom Doran’s second child — a wine crafted with all the care and pride that name deserves. This is a classic Bordeaux-inspired red (75% Cabernet Sauvignon / 25% Merlot) from the Doran estate in South Africa’s Voor Paardeberg: structured, refined and deeply satisfying. Dark fruit and warm spice on the nose give way to layers of plum, red berry and a hint of milk chocolate on the palate. The tannins are round and silky, making this an approachable yet serious wine that rewards those who take their time with it. A dry, lingering finish.
Food pairing: Perfect with lamb chops, a slow-cooked beef casserole, a Sunday roast or a quality aged cheese board.
